How Good is Your Mindset? (Hint: Not as Good as You Think)

Shocking Mindset Results

This week, while working with some of my coaching students, I noticed a glaring reality that most new entrepreneurs face.

I did a survey, of 10 random people and asked them this question: “On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 the best, How good is your mindset in order to succeed in life and business?”

And everyone responded with a 10.

So, that means, out of 10 people, all 10 said that they have a Great Mindset which would allow them to succeed at business.

I’m calling BULLSHIT.

And here’s why…

Sure. Everyone “says” they have a great mindset, but their level of fear and being comfortable with their life is tremendously holding them back on achieving what they truly want in life.

For instance, I had one client who said that she is “really motivated” to make her online business work, but when it comes to the first obstacle, she cowered in fear due her own disbelief in her abilities to start and to make it work.

I had another student who was dead-set on getting a profitable online business set-up, and I told him EXACTLY what to do to make it happen, and when it came to his first “REAL” Assignment as a business owner, his mindset prevented him from being able to accomplish it.

So what about you?

What do you want to accomplish? And is your mindset holding you back from making it happen?

How to Overcome this Obstacle

The first thing that you’ll need to do is evaluate what you want to accomplish.

So 1st, Set your Goals.

Once you’ve done that, next write down the things that are preventing you from doing that. For most people it’s simply FEAR.

For example, let’s say you’ve always wanted to work from home. And you know nothing of where to start. What have you done to make that happen?

Is your FEAR holding you back from making a decision? Are you afraid of hearing the truth? Or do you just NOT WANT it Bad enough…

Turn Your Speakers and Press Play to Listen to this Story

For most people, it’s both FEAR and NOT WANTING IT bad enough.

If you can “Get outta your own way” as I like to say, you will start seeing results. Stop listening to what other people think you want, and actually do what you NEED to do to get to where you want to be in life.

  • Maybe you..
  • Want to travel the world
  • Take more vacations
  • Spend time at home with your kids
  • Be Your own Boss

Do what needs to be done to actually get the things you want out of life. (and if, perhaps, it is starting an online business, get help)

And remember….

Always Be Taking Action. Constantly. Never stop.

See you at a live event soon,

You are so on point! Fear factor and present comfort level rule the mind!

Thanks for the input Tony. Fear and level of comfort are truly holding so many people back. When your “I’m-sick-of-this” is higher than your fear or comfort, that is what causes people to take action. Remember this when you’re creating copy for ads and marketing.

And if this story isnt enough to help some of you find strength… Believe in yourself and never listen to thr slammed doirs or the cocky….only when youre ready will you be successful. Not when others are ready for u . You have to crave it.. So your words Nate will hopefully help someone. But as for me… It took me 18 surgeries…..51 years of pain ….and in between all this…to fight for a normal life …marraige…jobs…kids….crippling spine disease …ppl have no idea. It has never defined me. And on my faith….after this last sugery…i am on my way to higher hieghts. Book deals and a passion for what i do….will get me there!!!!
